The differences and individually of our brains are mirrored in the ways we consciously experience and interpret the world. We all see things in our own unique way, though our own filter. When I create art, I know my personal experience and interpretation of what is happening and what I see is reflected in my art making. My self-awareness and consciousness of my surroundings is central to my being an artist, accepting that my perspective changes as I have new experiences. What is an illusion today is a reality tomorrow. What is reality today is an illusion tomorrow. My interpretations change as time goes on, and the interpretations of others seep in and influence the art.
