Artist Statement
My work moves between sculpture and functional pottery, each offering a different way to explore connection and play. In my sculptural pieces, I work with clay and steel to capture the fragile balance of human relationships — how they hold, bend, or sometimes break. These works invite reflection on resilience, tension, and intimacy.
Alongside sculpture, I create vibrant, hand-built pottery that celebrates humor, imagination, and daily ritual. Whether it’s a jar topped with a mischievous dog or a vase alive with flamingos under the moon, these functional pieces bring art into everyday life. They remind us that joy and playfulness are as essential as contemplation and depth.
Together, these two bodies of work reflect my belief that art should both ground us in reflection and lift us in delight — a balance of the serious and the playful, the fragile and the enduring.
